We love our patients and every year around Valentine’s Day we put on a fun photo shoot for previous patients of Hope Women’s Centers. Named “Somebody Loves You,” we provide our patients with free professional photos for them and we get the opportunity to hear the update on their lives since coming to Hope. We are so thankful so many of our previous patients wanted to share their stories in hopes that it will encourage future Hope patients dealing with unplanned pregnancies.
Meeting up with Miriam and Anthony was really special. Miriam came to us in 2015 facing her worst fear:
“I was so scared, I NEVER thought it would happen to me. I thought about my entire family and how disappointed they would be. I also thought about how much it could change my relationship with my boyfriend.”
Miriam faced the news of her positive pregnancy test with her counselor at Hope and said of her experience:
It became so real when the counselor came back and confirmed I was pregnant. At that point I knew my life would change forever no matter what decision I made. I feel like it encouraged me a little bit knowing that there were other moms going through the same situation. Today I couldn’t be happier.”
Miriam made the decision to carry and parent her child and named her baby girl Mercy.
At Hope Women’s Centers, we exist to encourage and equip women and men to make informed decisions regarding unplanned pregnancies. We believe women and men can make difficult decisions when presented with all of their options. If you or someone you know can benefit from free and confidential services such as free: pregnancy tests, limited OB ultrasounds, limited STI testing and treatment (for Hope’s female patients), and referrals – send them to our patient information.
