When Gwendolyn first came into Hope she was scared and very nervous. What she didn’t realize was not only was she pregnant – She was pregnant with twins!
It wasn’t the pressure that bothered Gwendolyn, she went on to explain,
“I just felt like a failure. I knew my parents were going to be upset because they wanted more from me. They wanted me to have a degree first.”
While Gwendolyn was at Hope her Patient Advocate prayed for her. Gwendolyn said,
“I love that. I felt comfortable there. Between that, and knowing God was with me, I had the courage to carry the twins to term.”
Gwendolyn brought her twins, a baby girl and a baby boy, to our annual photo shoot where she proudly introduced us to them. What we sometimes consider set backs and let downs, God uses to grow and bless us! What we find difficult to process, God has already paved the way for and in His grace and love, He provides. It was so wonderful to see Gwendolyn loving on her little boy and little girl with a heart filled with love and peace.
