Do you have an expectant heart?
I recently read a blog that made me think about the things in life that I view as “interruptions” – the untimely phone call, the illness, the staff member with a question, or the issues with computers or printers that won’t cooperate. All of us know what it feels like to get bogged down in the unending challenges of daily life.
I was reminded by this blog that I need to embrace the interruptions and see them as gifts from Jesus – His call to a journey into the adventures He has prepared for me in the midst of every circumstance.
Isaiah 55:8 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.” I have lived long enough to know this is true. I want to live with an expectant heart, looking for evidence of Him in every area of my life.
I hope you will review our “report card” for 2017 and see what God has accomplished in this amazing year at Hope. We have a new center opening in Pembroke Pines in a few weeks, and a male Client Advocate joining our staff in January to see male clients for 16 hours each week.
I invite you to join us on the journey into 2018 as we seek to discover hope in every life! Will you try to DISCOVER HOPE in new ways this year?
There is hope in GIVING – start today with a new monthly pledge for 2018!
There is hope in PRAYING – start today praying with us for four areas throughout December.
There is hope in VOLUNTEERING – start today by registering for our January orientation seminar!
