2017 HOPE WOMEN’S CENTERS TO OPEN IN PEMBROKE PINES
Serving Women and Men in Broward County Since 1987
Board members and staff of Hope Women’s Centers met with local church leaders at Pembroke Lakes Country Club on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 to announce that they are opening a new medical clinic in Pembroke Pines early in 2018. The center will be located at the busy intersection of Pines Boulevard and Palm Avenue, and attendees at the breakfast were able to see photographs of the building and the floor plan. The buildout is currently in progress, and the staff will post updates about the exact opening date on the website at FriendsofHope.com.
This new location is in response to the need for a resource for women in one of the fastest growing areas of Broward County. There is no pro-life resource available between Hope Women’s Centers in Davie and the Heartbeat Center in Hialeah – a 37-mile distance! This leaves thousands of women in our community without access to compassionate care when they are trying to make a decision about an unplanned pregnancy.
Those in attendance enjoyed a beautiful view of the Pembroke Lakes golf course, a delicious breakfast buffet, and heard compelling personal stories from two women who experienced unplanned pregnancies and turned to Hope for help. They both have come full circle and now serve at Hope – one as a volunteer Client Advocate, and the other as a Staff Sonographer. They are now helping give women the same kind of support they received when they faced unplanned pregnancies over a decade ago.
Hope offers free and confidential services including pregnancy testing, limited obstetrical ultrasounds, options counseling, limited Well-Woman Referrals and education, limited STI Testing and Treatment, as well as referrals to helping agencies for those who find themselves in unplanned pregnancies. “We are a trusted source for women and men – a safe place where they can process the reality of their situation and make an informed decision about their pregnancy,” said Nancy McDonald, President/CEO.
In the past five years, Hope has seen over 30,000 patient visits for early pregnancy verification services. Marah, a former patient stated, “My visit to Hope Women’s Centers gave me all of the information I needed to make a decision, but more than that, they helped me believe in myself.”
Hope Women’s Centers exists to encourage and equip women and men to make informed decisions regarding unplanned pregnancies. Hope Women’s Centers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Event and partner information at: FriendsofHope.com and patient services at: HopeWomensCenters.com.
